Mode of Action

Abamectin is toxic to the stomach and has strong penetration. It has contact and stomach toxicity to insects and mites, and has weak fumigation effect, without internal absorption. However, it has a strong penetration on leaves, can kill pests under the epidermis, and has a long residual effect. It does not kill eggs. Its mechanism of action is different from that of common pesticides in that it interferes with neurophysiological activities. The mite adults, nymphs, and insects appear paralytic symptoms after contacting with the pesticide. They do not feed when they are inactive, and die after 2-4 days.
