Physicochemical properties

Pure Zineb is an off-white or slightly yellow powder with fine texture and slightly rotten egg odor. It has strong hygroscopicity and starts to decompose at 157℃, without obvious melting point. Its vapor pressure is less than 0.01MPa at 20℃.

Industrial Zineb is usually a light yellow powder with similar odor and hygroscopicity. This form of Zineb is more common in practical applications because it is cheaper to produce and more stable during storage and transportation.

Zineb has a solubility of 10 mg/L in water at room temperature, but is insoluble in most organic solvents and soluble in pyridine. It is unstable to light, heat and moisture, and is prone to decomposition, especially when encountering alkaline substances or substances containing copper and mercury.

Zineb is less stable and decomposes easily under light, heat and moisture. Therefore, special attention should be paid to environmental control during storage and use, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperature and high humidity conditions.

Advantages of Zineb

Broad spectrum
Zineb is a broad-spectrum fungicide, capable of controlling a wide range of diseases caused by fungi, with a wide range of applications.
Low toxicity
Zineb has low toxicity to humans and animals, high safety and low environmental pollution, which is in line with the development requirements of modern agriculture.
Easy to use
Zineb is easy to use, easy to operate, and suitable for disease control of large crops.
Economic benefits
Zineb is relatively inexpensive, low cost of use, can significantly improve the yield and quality of crops, and has good economic benefits.

Mode of Action

Zineb is a bactericide with protective and inhibitory effects, which can inhibit new disease sources and eliminate diseases. After spray, it can spread on the crop surface in the form of drug film to form a protective layer to prevent the pathogen from infecting again. It can be used to control apple tree anthracnose.

Suitable crops:

Potato
Zineb is mainly used in potato cultivation to control early and late blight. These diseases often cause wilting of the potato leaves, which affects tuber development and ultimately reduces yield and quality.
Tomato
Zineb is widely used in tomato cultivation to control early and late blight, which effectively protects the plant and ensures healthy fruit growth.
Eggplant
Eggplants are susceptible to anthracnose during growth. Foliar spraying with Zineb can significantly reduce the incidence of the disease and improve the yield and quality of eggplants.
Cabbage
Cabbage is susceptible to downy mildew and soft rot. Zineb can effectively control these diseases and ensure the healthy growth of cabbage.
Radish
Zineb is mainly used to control black rot and blight in radish cultivation, protecting the health of the rootstock.
Cabbage
Cabbage is susceptible to black rot, and Zineb is excellent at controlling it.
Melons
Zineb is effective against downy mildew and blight in melon crops such as cucumbers and pumpkins.
Beans
Zineb is mainly used in bean crops to control blight and verticillium, and to protect the leaves and pods of the crop.
Pears
Zineb is mainly used in pear cultivation to control anthracnose and ensure healthy fruit growth.
Apples
Zineb is used in apple cultivation to control Verticillium wilt and anthracnose and to protect the leaves and fruit of apples.
Tobacco
In tobacco growing, Zineb is mainly used to control downy mildew and soft rot to ensure the quality of tobacco leaves.

Zineb crops

Act on these Pests:

Early blight
Zineb can effectively control early blight caused by fungi by inhibiting the growth and reproduction of the pathogen, protecting the leaves and fruits of the crop.
Late blight
Late blight is a serious threat to potatoes and tomatoes. Zineb is excellent at controlling late blight, significantly reducing the incidence of the disease.
Anthracnose
Anthracnose is common on a wide range of crops, and Zineb can be used to reduce the incidence of the disease and protect healthy crops.
Verticillium wilt
Zineb is also excellent at controlling Verticillium wilt, which significantly reduces the incidence of the disease in crops such as apples and pears.
Soft rot
Soft rot is a common disease of cabbage and tobacco. Zineb effectively controls soft rot and protects leaves and stalks.
Black rot
Black rot is a serious disease. Zineb is effective in controlling black rot in radish, kale and other crops.
Downy mildew
Downy mildew is common in cabbage and melon crops. Zineb can effectively control downy mildew and ensure healthy growth of crops.
Epidemic
Blight is a serious threat to a wide range of crops. Zineb is excellent at preventing and controlling blight, significantly reducing the incidence of the disease.
Verticillium wilt
Verticillium wilt is a common disease of radish and other crops. Zineb is effective in controlling verticillium wilt and protecting the health of crops.

Foliar Spraying
Zineb is mainly applied by foliar spraying. Mix Zineb with water at a certain rate and spray evenly on the leaves of the crop.
Concentration
The concentration of Zineb is generally 1000 times liquid, i.e. every 1kg of Zineb can be mixed with 1000kg of water. The concentration can be adjusted according to the needs of different crops and diseases.
Application time
Zineb should be sprayed every 7-10 days during the growing period. Spraying should be made up in time after rain to ensure the control effect.
Precautions
When using Zineb, it is necessary to avoid mixing with alkaline substances and substances containing copper and mercury to avoid affecting the efficacy. At the same time, avoid using it under high temperature and strong light to prevent the agent from decomposing and becoming ineffective.
