Imazalil destroys the cell membrane structure of molds, resulting in damage to the integrity of the cell membrane, causing molds to lose their normal physiological functions.Imazalil can effectively inhibit the formation of mold spores, preventing the spread and reproduction of molds from the source. By affecting the permeability of cell membranes and lipid metabolism, Imazalil interferes with the normal growth and reproduction process of molds, thus achieving a bactericidal effect.

Control of Penicillium
Imazalil can be used to control Penicillium mold on citrus during the storage period. Usually on the day of harvest, the fruit is dipped in a solution of 50-500 mg/l (equivalent to 50% emulsifiable concentrate 1000-2000 times or 22.2% emulsifiable concentrate 500-1000 times) for 1-2 minutes, then picked up and dried for crating and storage or transportation.
Prevention and control of green mold
The same method can also be used to control green mold, the effect is remarkable.
Application method and dose
Citrus fruits can also be coated with 0.1% applicator stock solution. After washing the fruit with water, drying or air-drying, dip a towel or sponge into the liquid and apply it as thinly as possible, generally 2-3 liters of 0.1% applicator per ton of fruit.
Prevention and control of banana axis rot
Imazalil also has significant effect on banana axis rot. Use 50% emulsifiable concentrate 1000-1500 times solution to immerse banana for 1 minute, fish it out and dry it for storage.
Control of Penicillium mold
Apples and pears are easy to be infected with Penicillium mold during the storage period, Imazalil can effectively prevent and control it. After harvesting, use 50% emulsifiable concentrate 100 times solution to immerse the fruit for 30 seconds, fish it out and dry it, then box it for storage.
Prevention and control of green mold
The same method can be used to control green mold on apples and pears.
Control of cereal diseases
Imazalil can be used to control a wide range of diseases of cereals. It is effective when mixed with 8-10 grams of 50% emulsifiable concentrate per 100 kg of seed with a small amount of water.
Imazalil is usually packed in sealed packages to prevent moisture and failure of the agent. Common forms of packaging are bottles, barrels and bags.
During transportation, attention should be paid to prevent collision and leakage, and maintain the stability of the agent.
