Aluminum phosphide is a broad-spectrum fumigant insecticide, which is mainly used to kill pests in warehouses, where storing grain and seeds.It also can be used to kill the rodents in outdoor rodents.
After aluminum will produce highly toxic phosphine gas, which enters the body through the respiratory system of insects (or mice and other animals), and acts on the respiratory chain and cytochrome oxidase of the mitochondria of cells, inhibiting their normal breathing and causing death.In the absence of oxygen, phosphine is not easy to be inhaled by insects, and does not show toxicity. In the case of oxygen, phosphine can be inhaled and kill insects.It can fumigate raw grains, finished grains, and oil plants, etc.If it is used on seeds,the moisture requirements are different for different crops.
Except for warehouses, aluminum phosphide can also be used in sealed greenhouses, glass houses, and plastic greenhouses, which can directly kill all underground and above-ground pests and mice, and can penetrate into plants to kill borer pests and root nematodes .
Take the Aluminium Phosphide 56% content as an example:
1. 3~8 pieces per ton of stored grain or goods, 2~5 pieces per cubic meter of storage or goods; 1-4 pieces per cubic meter of fumigation space.
2. After steaming, lift the tent or plastic film, open the doors, windows or ventilation gates, and use natural or mechanical ventilation to fully disperse the air and remove the poisonous gas.
3. When entering the warehouse, use a test paper impregnated with 5% to 10% silver nitrate solution to test the poisonous gas, and only enter when there is no phosphine gas.
4. The fumigation time depends on the temperature and humidity. It is not suitable for fumigation below 5°C; no less than 14 days at 5°C~9°C; no less than 7 days at 10°C~16°C; no less than 4 days at 16°C~25°C ; Above 25°C for no less than 3 days. Smoked and killed voles, 1~2 slices per mouse hole.

2. When using Aluminium Phosphide , you should strictly abide by the relevant laws and safety measures for fumigation of aluminum phosphide. When using the drugs, you must be guided by skilled technicians or experienced staff. It is strictly forbidden to work alone, and do it in sunny weather. Don’t do it at night.
3. The medicine bottle should be opened outdoors, and a danger warning line should be set up around the fumigation site. Eyes and faces should not face the drugs. 24 hours after putting the drugs,special personnel should check for air leakage and fire.
4. Phosphine is highly corrosive to copper. Copper components such as light switches and lamp holders should be coated with engine oil or sealed with plastic film for protection.
5. After dissipating the air, the residue and the medicine bag should be collected.And you can put the medicine bags a steel drum filled of water in order to completely decompose the residual aluminum phosphide (until there are no bubbles on the liquid surface). The harmless slurry can be discard in a place permitted by the environmental protection management department .
6. This product is poisonous to bees, fish, and silkworms. Avoid affecting the surrounding area during application, and it is forbidden in silkworm rooms.
7. When putting the Aluminium Phosphide , you should wear a suitable gas mask, work clothes and special gloves. Do not smoke or eat, wash hands and face or take a bath after application.
